On Dr. Gates’s annual Easter trek to the “Sweetest Place on Earth,” he stumbled across a Hershey’s Chocolate World innovation -- popping candy infused into a candy bar. Steeped in the history of creating delicious treats around U.S. holidays with the iconic Reese’s brand in the epicenter. You’ve all bought the eggs for Easter, pumpkins for Halloween, trees for Christmas, and hearts for Valentine’s Day. But what of Independence Day? It would seem the days of America’s birthday being passed over have come and gone.
We don’t have to wait three months for July 4th to hear the popping in U.S. economic data. That arrived Monday in the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) March manufacturing report. A deeper dive, however, is warranted.
